Universal Provider Service is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all client information. Although we provide non-medical, administrative, and provider support services and are not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), we voluntarily follow privacy and security practices that support HIPAA principles.

Not a HIPAA-Covered Entity
Universal Provider Service is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. Because we are not a HIPAA-covered entity, HIPAA regulations do not legally apply. However, we maintain responsible privacy practices when handling client information.

During communication or coordination, we may receive basic information such as name, contact details, and general service-related notes. We do not request, collect, or store clinical data or protected health information (PHI) such as diagnoses, medical charts, or treatment records. Information may only be shared with client permission, with authorized staff or contractors involved in service coordination, when required by law, or when necessary to support the non-medical services requested. We do not disclose information for marketing purposes.

Best Practices for Clients
To protect your privacy, please avoid sending detailed medical or clinical information through website forms, email, text messages, or unsecured methods. For medical information, communicate directly with licensed healthcare providers.

Your Rights
Although HIPAA does not legally apply, Universal Provider Service supports the right to request access to your information, correct inaccurate details, request deletion when permitted, and ask how your information is used. You may contact us with any privacy-related request.
